Bruce I. Vogel, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Bruce Vogel graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1972. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a staff member of Prince William Hospital and Reston Surgery Center. He has a strong sports medicine background having lettered at Ohio State University in track, having previously been a member of the Long Island Striders Track Team, and currently an avid competitive tennis player. He has published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Steven A. Gordon, DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Steven A. Gordon graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and received his doctorate degree from Temple University College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1991. He completed his residency in Reconstructive Surgery of the Foot and Ankle as well as Postgraduate Training in Lower Extremity Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the Northern Virginia Podiatric Residency Program. This program is sponsored by the Medical College of Virginia, with multiple hospital affiliations including Georgetown University Hospital and Inova Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Gordon is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. His special interests include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and all aspects of medical and surgical management of the diabetic foot. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Diabetes Association's Foot Council, and regularly lectures at Prince William Hospital's Diabetes Support Group meetings. Dr. Gordon is continually involved with training surgical residents at the Northern Virginia Podiatric Residency Program, and is currently on the staff of Prince William Hospital, Reston Hospital Center, Reston Surgery Center and Inova Loudoun Hospital.
Shaun C. Hafner, DPM
Dr. Shaun C. Hafner was raised in New York State's Hudson Valley. He attended Potsdam College where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Chemistry. He then went on to obtain his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Hafner completed an intense three year residency training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Yale - New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut. There he served as Chief Resident and was recognized for academic achievement. Dr. Hafner has been published on his review of Emerging Techniques in Revascularization for the Lower Extremity. Likewise, Dr. Hafner also participated in original research on the Etiology of Recalcitrant Plantar Heel Pain.
His comprehensive three-year surgical residency training at Yale-New Haven Medical Center has given him an abundance of experience in elective, reconstructive and trauma procedures of the foot and ankle. Dr. Hafner's training had a multidisciplinary approach towards diabetic limb salvage and limb preservation to treat the high risk limb with cooperation with plastic, vascular, general and orthopedic surgery teams. In addition, he has been trained in various forms of internal and external fixation including Illizarov frames to treat complex lower extremity deformities, as well as plastic surgery techniques for the creation of flaps to assist the coverage of large wounds. Dr Hafner is on staff at Prince William Hospital, Reston Hospital Center, Reston Surgery Center and INOVA Loudoun Hospital.
